Comments on the course

The course is fairly easy. I took Session A courses, so my experience was accelerated. I will warn you to make sure your documents are saved because you will likely need them for your final project and peer review (end of semester). I'd recommend some experience with digital design, but you can still get an A in the course without prior experience, as I did. Do not expect an easy A, but do not expect it to be too difficult. The assignments aren't tough but time-consuming. It's also easy to create errors in your work if you're unfamiliar with editing on Adobe Illustrator or any editing platform you'll need to use to modify your graphs and charts. Make sure to read what he wants because he WILL take points off for minor things.

Course Content

Creating Charts. Beautifying charts and graphs. Inserting data and exporting Excel files to Adobe Illustrator. You cannot see what you've gotten wrong on your quiz. This sucks because, at the end of the term, he will give your a final quiz (questions from previous quizzes), and you will have no idea which questions you got wrong the first time. There's also no study material for the quiz, so you had better hope you remember everything. (This quiz could drop you from an (A+ to an -A or even a B+)

Comments on the professor

Mmm... He's not a bad professor, but you might get annoyed when he gives you a bunch of 99s rather than 100s. I'm telling you, after the 5th assignment, you'll make him the villain of your college experience, but if you're a high achiever, I'm sure you can get all 100s.

Advice

Please pay attention to what he wants. He will dock you for minor flaws. Make sure if you're unfamiliar with editing programs that, you haven't accidentally undone or added things to your chart. Do not do your assignments at the last minute. I'm telling you, something goes wrong every time.
