Prof: Heather Logan / Fall 2021
Dec 20, 2021
This might be one of the gate keeping classes for physics. There is a lot of material covered and it really draws on a lot of your math background. If you have been struggling prior to this class you may be in trouble. The actual material is very interesting and expands pretty seamlessly on phys 2305, with a focus on em in matter and finding electric potential in different ways.
It's em but more indepth. Review your math toolbox and diagrams will really help you understand what is going on. The midterm is all electrics fields and potential. The final is almost all em waves and magnetic questions.
Prof Logan is very friendly and nice but doesn't spoon feed you information. If you want more information on what kind of questions you'll see on a midterm or final you have to reach out. The assignment are not too difficult but the sheer volume of them will leave you with very little down time.
Get really good at time management and reach out to the prof with questions, she's happy to help.
