3 exams, each have an 'in class' activity, discussion, quiz, and problem set to help you get ready for them. The 'in class' activities you do before class so you can discuss them with a group. There's also a final project, the problem sets give you the skills needed but you pick your topic. You really need to understand statistics if you want to do well in this class.
