This class can be used to fill your CMN requirements, and DPL International concentration, and is super easy.
Papers and "quizzes," I say this because she sent a word doc to D2L and you fill it out with answers. Very simple.
Stephanie is so nice and her class is super easy. I barely read the textbook and passed with flying colors.
If you are CMN major you will need to take CMN103, she is a good teacher and really loves to help her class.

The course was pretty interesting and very discussion-based which I liked. There were some units that were a little boring, but overall, it wasn't too terrible. It can definitely feel a little repetitive at times though. Out of the 4 required classes for CMN majors (101-104) this was definitely my least favorite.
There was definitely a lot of work -- way more than there needed to be for this class. Each week, you would have to put up a discussion post and respond to two of your classmates, do a reading from the textbook and do a worksheet on the chapter, do a "workshop" assignment, and participate in class. There were also a few large papers throughout the quarter. Despite all of this, though, as long as you put in the effort, it wasn't too difficult to keep up with.
Professor Howell was really upbeat and a lot of fun to have in class. She is very theatric and will definitely keep you engaged during the lectures. While she assigns a lot of homework, she also gives you plenty of opportunities for extra credit if you fall behind. She will also give you extra credit points if you read and respond to more weekly discussion posts than you are required to do.
