The class overall was great, we met every week and it was short classes online. There was writing to be done almost every week, some very short and done individually, others done in groups. Big projects with essays were spread out to have time to work on them.
The class was more fun than anything. It was great to get feedback by classmates and the professor, allowing me to improve in writing. The content was very basic but also very helpful for other classes that required writing.
She was just amazing. She had so much on her plate and would still email back so quick and stay after class to answer questions or give feedback. She really cares about students so long the student shows they are putting in the effort.
Go to class, even if it is online, and actually participate, not only will it help you get more help and feedback but it will help you improve your writing for when you need to apply to programs or schools. I thought my writing was a bit above average and yet I was taught I had much to learn still

The course was amazing and so was the professor. I am surprised I passed with how horrible of a writer I was at this time. But this class really made me a better wrtier.
Amazing.
Read the materal he provides before class, but you also don't recall have to in order to keep up.

It has a similar structure to ENGL 1101. A couple of essays with a big research paper at the end. Too many quizzes, discussions, and other assignments.
Strangely enough, the actual English content isn't that useful/worthy of remembering. Instead, Dr. Kassorla's mini-lessons on how to use Microsoft Word are much more useful and will actually help you in life. Also, Zotero is a godsend. That made creating a Works Cited 10x easier; goodbye EasyBib and Citation Machine.
Dr. Kassorla is a gem. She always gave feedback on every assignment, but essays had the most detailed comments and corrections. She also offers the opportunity to turn in an essay, get feedback and edit it, then turn it in again for full points. She also never took off late points from assignments I turned in late.
