About as challenging as you would expect calc I, although from my friends I learned Burke is way easier than most professors. Challenging class, but put the work in and you'll succeed.
One of the best professors I have had, would highly recommend to anyone struggling with calculus.
Do the homework! If you finish every homework, tests will come naturally.

Prof: Orlova-shokry / Summer 2018

Took Calc 1 during the summer with Orlova-Shokry. It was definitely more fast-paced than a regular math class but the material itself wasn't too hard if you put a decent amount of time into it. Right after class, I would do practice problems of the material covered. So if we had just gone over "derivatives" I would look up "calc 1 derivatives practice problems" and do what I could until I felt confident. Given that you've made A's in your previous classes, I think you should do well if your other classes don't hold you back too much.

Prof: Lewin / Spring 2018

Lewin is a mathematician. He is going to teach the class as such. You'll have concept questions and number questions each of which he's particular about how you write it out. If you're a math major take him otherwise I would recommend taking a different professor to be honest. As far as the material goes calc 1 isn't bad and there's so much material to go through online in case your professor doesn't go over the concepts well enough for you.

Prof: Keating / Summer 2020

I took Keating for Calc1 over the summer of 2020 after not having any math experience for two straight years. It’s definitely a doable summer course. I took mine with 3 other CYBR classes during summer (worst idea of my fking life) and still pulled a B. You will definitely have to keep focused throughout the 8 weeks.
