This is a tutorial course on written and oral communication in the professional engineering world. Now known as "WCOM 206". Expect lots of participation, group work, and "workshops" on writing cover letters and how to research.
Grammar and style basics for professional English writing, public speaking and presentation basics, research and citation methods, basics of EndNote 20 citation software, writing a cover letter and CV, writing a professional engineering research paper, writing an RFP, writing a professional business proposal, professional and business etiquette when presenting and working with colleagues.
Very supportive professor who gives good feedback. Responds in a timely manner.
Take this course during the summer to decrease your workload during the regular year. Make sure to do your part in group projects.

Pretty useful course. It teaches you communication skills like how to write a cover letter, a research paper, and a business proposal. For important assignments, the professor really puts in a lot of effort and gives you good feedback. Very light in terms of content, most of the work comes from research and assignments. No midterms or exams, just several major assignments.
Don't leave assignments to the last minute, as these assignments can take a lot of time to do. If you're not good at writing, or if your English is not that great, then consider reaching out to your classmates for help as English reading/writing/speaking will be everything you do.
