I enjoyed the class. The professor lectures very well, and the discussion sessions weren't difficult.

Take notes, tests and essays are based around your notes for the most part. Not hard at all; he gives you the test questions beforehand.

I'd say it's very useful considering its history, and this class really gives you a different view of major historical events. If you like history, you'll really like this class.

The professor goes fairly quickly during the lectures and he can be funny

It's not as modern as you think, you start off in the 1800s. Mentally prepare yourself for all the essays. They're only easy if you read the documents thoroughly.
