Very hard for an "intro" course. Combination of professor and content. If you know more about math and computer science this may be an easier course for you.
Content is heavily math based, using formulas, limits, and symbols that may be overwhelming if you haven't done a lot of math. There was one midterm (later in the course like mid-late october?), very short and open note, so I did fine, but if you struggled to understand the notes then :(. The final project was to present a paper through a basic presentation about its main points, and you have no idea which one you're going to get or how long/hard it is. Most people in my class got ones that they ended up understanding. It's tricky because if you get a good paper and have good notes and understand points then you will probably get a decent grade, but the homework is also difficult and the professor isn't much help. Probably not to take this course, I know people who withdrew after the midterm, and its inconvenient because we didn't know how math-based it would be until after the add/drop period.
