I enjoyed the class as much as I could. I'm not the biggest fan of economics classes but Ryan makes it way better.

In the grand scheme of things, economy is what our world revolves around, so this class is most definitely worth taking as it helped clear some of the gaps in my knowledge about the world of economics. I mostly took it because it was required at first, but actually was pleasantly surprised with the amount of knowledge I gained from it.

Ryan is by far one of the best professors NMU has to offer. His genuine kindness and interest in not just the academic side of teaching really makes him stand out. He's incredible flexible with due dates (so long as you don't abuse this) and truly wants all his students to succeed. His personal research is also very interesting if you get the chance to talk to him about it too!

Cross your fingers you get put into a good group of people for the Policy Memo Project. I unfortunately did not and ended up pretty much splitting the workload between myself and one other group member because the others didn't seem to care enough. Otherwise, really, just get your work done on time and the class should be pretty easy.
