This course was very important for developing writing skills that will be needed in upper level courses. There were several essays over the course of the year and the opportunity to engage in group discussions on your pieces of research. As the name suggests, the class is a research heavy course and you will learn about that.

The primary goal of the class was working up to writing a 750-1000 word research paper detailing your research process, with some of your findings included. Process works would be given in the months leading up to your final paper, to prepare you for that and to get you thinking about the material and processes needed for that.

The professor gives great advice. Very friendly and approachable. If you are confused about something, the professor will be able to explain it clearly to you. Overall, great experience

I wouldn't say I have advice to myself, but just know it will be very writing heavy and the final paper will be more focused on the research process than the research findings.
