Prof: Michael Trevathan / Spring 2022

This class does a really good job going through the key concepts of international environmental relations and how they play out. It’s definitely a class you want to have prior interest in but the professor is amazing and will make sure you know what’s going on.
The class is mostly talking about the assigned readings. There are about 6 research articles assigned a week but if you know how to read them and like doing that it’s not hard. Then there’s a one page reflection of the readings due before class every week which I think are helpful because you kind of have to think a little bit about what you read. Then there are two policy briefs which are pretty easy and a group presentation, and they are pretty in depth.
The professor is super awesome and loves all his students so much. He is so understanding and very honest about his job and his research. He will always make you feel listened to and try to get to know you and I like that a lot.
The concepts aren’t as hard as they might seem, it’s political science so everything you learn is right there written for you. You just have to know how to read and talk about it. Also Prof T cancels like half his classes so you do get some free days.
