It sucks so much, retaking it next semester so I can actually understand the material.

Lyn is boring as can be and overloads you with work. His emails give the sense that he knows he is overloading you and is in general very rude. The averages on the exams were low, i.e. 40s on the second exam with a wild standard deviation. I fail to see how this demonstrates comprehension of the material. He's incredibly smart. That much is apparent. But he can't teach in a way that is accessible to most people.

Avoid Lyn.

3 homework assignments per week + a lab report. Lab reports weren’t too bad but the homework and exams were quite difficult. The class is curved pretty heavily, though. My final grade was around 55-60% and I got a solid B.

Dr Lyn is a decent lecturer if a bit dry. The main source of frustration was the difficulty of the homework and exams.

Take good notes on the in-class examples (they help with the homework), and avoid falling behind at all costs.
