This class is supposed to be focused on writing and rhetorical skills. Instead, it has become a class about social justice issues/things of that nature. If I wanted to learn about these topics, I would have enrolled in a course with that description. This class is required as a pre-requisite at SU.

The content of this class, while interesting, is totally unrelated to its intended purpose. It has been 4 weeks and we have not learned anything about actual writing skills. We read articles about diversity and culture and then discuss them in class. We wrote 2 journals about random things

Prof Perez is very nice but she is disorganized. Her syllabus does not match the course description. She spends a lot of class time lecturing about diversity, culture, and social justice. I think that she would be better equipped to teach a class meant for these topics

I wish I knew what I was actually going to be learning about and could have opted for an actual writing workshop
