It was a fun first year class. Introduces some interesting topics and if you pay a little attention you can do pretty well.
basically surface level study of some theories of justice. they can be interesting if you relate them to a topic you like.
pretty great actually. very accessible and really nice. i noticed that the people who actually talked to her a little did better than most
it was what i expected, an easy, fun, first year class. beware though it is a fyre class so it will have a short research paper than can be annoying but not hard

Prof: David York / Fall 2019
Apr 25, 2022
Easy introductory class. Can vary depending on who's teaching but generally, all the profs are accessible and not too demanding. It's usually a couple of very short readings, one midterm (prof gave solid hints at the questions), one research paper (4-5 pages double-spaced), and the final (same as midterm).
You'll learn about justice and injustice in politics. Touches on a couple of political theories, but very on the surface and both the profs and the book make it simple enough for anyone to understand it. Can be useful for people in social science majors since the research paper will teach you easy steps for future research.
York is solid, his explanations are super straightforward, and his instructions/expectations are very clear. Attendance isn't mandatory, and he doesn't grade participation (tho he will remember you and appreciate your opinion if you say something every now and then).
That his midterm/final questions are easily found on his ptt slides (so are the answers you just have to piece them together)
