By far one of my favourite courses in undergrad. If you are looking for an all-encompassing course to explore the many biomes around the world, this is the class for you. This class goes beyond exploring characteristics of biomes; you talk about what global change really means and how it can be measured, you talk about tipping points of our ecosystems and discuss at what point our systems can no longer provide goods and services, and most importantly you talk about the interconnectedness of our world. Dr. Gamon's passion for this topic made this class enjoyable, relevant, and thought-provoking. If you are looking for a science option with both science facts as well as conversations of society, technology, and the environment, I would highly recommend it.
