Prof: Joyce Sirianni / Spring 2022

This course is absolute bs. If you want an interesting and engaging APY course, look somewhere else. HARD avoid if you can and take regular anatomy on South if that’s why you’re here. I ignored the distress because i am genuinely interested in APY but I was only disinterested by the sheer madness of this course.
The entire class is just: can you memorize (and spell) each origin/insertion/action of every bone feature, muscle, and nerve in macaques, chimps, and humans.
Dr. Sirianni is late to class every day and often forgets what the weeks topic is. She is very nice and ends lecture early every class so that is the one nice thing that this class has going for it.
Prepare for a mental breakdown at the beginning of the semester because you will NOT be used to cramming all week just to get less than 5/10 on the weekly quizzes. Then you find out quizzes are worth a fraction of your grade and it’s all weighted on class participation and exam scores. Memorization using Quizlet is a must but nothing short of luck will get you through this class without crying at least one time. Also, if you are squimish there are monkey/chimp/human cadavers.
