Really enjoyed this course, fairly easy and the content was easy to follow. Take it if you're interested in Korea!
We talked a lot about Korean politics which is interesting and good to know. Don't miss out on the group discussions every couple of weeks which take the place of the lecture.
Read off the slides but sometimes shared stories and videos during class. Kind of a hard grader on the papers, so try to visit her during office hours to go over them if you want an A. I didn't put in a huge amount of effort but got A- pretty easily.
Give the professor a chance even tho her ratemyprof score is bad lol.

Lots of essays, but I got them done in an afternoon or two. Since there were no quizzes or exams, it helped to lessen my overall stress level of the semester.
Interesting material about contemporary South Korean culture. You learn about feminism, mainstream media, the patriarchal society, and pretty much everything else related to inequality.
The prof reads off the lecture slides, but she comes prepared with videos and guest speakers from time to time to help us understand. Hard marker with NO rubric.
Unless your GPA is low, this is NOT a gpa booster class. It was very difficult to get anything over an A- or A in this course.
