This course is meant to be an introductory level course, however, Jarrett taught it at an intermediate level. The grading was simply harsh and somewhat unfair. If you are looking to take this course, try to avoid Jarrett, because in his class, you will need to teach the content to yourself. I would like to thank Jarrett for depleting the entirety of my interest toward marketing.
Read the textbook, read the textbook, read the textbook.

The course gives a very comprehensive overview of the field of marketing, and by the end of it you should have a pretty clear idea of whether it’s the right specialization for you. The marketing plan group project is ~30% of your grade, and is graded very harshly. Participation and work sheets done in class are also graded, so it’s important to show up and be on your game if you want a good grade in the course. The midterm and final are roughly 50/50 multiple choice and short answer questions, and test your ability to apply course concepts.
Do the optional marketing studies for an extra 3% in the course. Show up to every class and participate to improve your grade, and make sure you understand and haven’t just memorized the textbook for the final and midterm.
