Advice

Do not be intimidated. The math, although seemingly complicated and difficult, becomes easier to understand as you go through the course. The first assignment is a quick refresher on concepts that will be used in 340. It serves as a good indicator of how ready you are for the material covered in class. My advice: register for the course and do the first assignment before deciding whether or not to drop. Practice is crucial in this course. Give assignments 110% of your effort and you will learn A LOT. You will find that the exams become much easier.
