Prof: Crystal Webster / Winter 2023
Dec 5, 2023
I really loved taking this class, I didn't find it overly difficult and the content was extremely interesting!
The class covers African-American slavery from 1450-1850 including resistance, women in slavery and emancipation. The content is extremely interesting and there are a few first person primary sources covered as well.
Dr Webster was really kind and I absolutely loved taking her class. Pros would be that she is accommodating, she picks really interesting readings, I love her lecture style and the structure of her class was good. The only con would be that sometimes it takes a few days to have emails get a response, but this wasn't a consistent issue.
I wish I managed my time better. There isn't a lot of work, but you need to be efficient in handing your assignments in on time and you will also need to dedicate a few hours a week to the videos and readings assigned every week.
