Really dry. Took me a whole day to power through one lecture. Extremely content heavy, apparently theoretical too. I dropped though because I just couldn't take it anymore

It ain't required for anything. They say 220 and 260 are recommended for the specializations, but doesn't mean do it. Real comparative politics would have a course on one place and would dive into detail. You have to look at one place at a time, and then can maybe compare their domestic policies. If you're looking to specialize, 240 is required for the major, 260 is required for IR, and i'd suggest 260 for everyone, required or not
