This class is very difficult but passable. You are given the materials to succeed. The problem is there is SO MUCH material you have to master and this class is extremely boring. I enjoyed the intro accounting classes, but this one not so much.
This class is basically an in-depth version of Financial Accounting.
The professor was okay to me. He was nice and helpful, but I did not like his teaching style.
Refresh on financial accounting and make sure you study the practice quizzes and class exercises. You really need to be disciplined with studying because this class has a large amount of material and I found this class to be VERY boring.

Very difficult class that requires a lot of studying. I had to attend the accounting lab frequently
Go over practice examples multiple times before exams, and review all his notes

This class is tough for sure, but don't let all the hype intimidate you. You can get through it if you're disciplined with your study habits, do lots of practice problems, and do the reading. You'll use parts of the 3131 material in later classes (and on the FAR section of the CPA exam), so it's better to learn it as well as you can now. There's usually some kind of curve at the end since the class is mandatory for ACG majors, so you may still have a chance at making it if you end with a high C.
