Prof: Lauren Rouse / Spring 2022

May 2, 2022

Comments on the course

The course can be fairly easy as long as you follow instructions carefully and submit the files that she is asking for. It's basically an Adobe Photoshop class as you will need that or something equivalent.

Course Content

Four main projects and little assignments leading up to those projects. (Assignments leading up to the projects include sketches, peer reviews, and drafts.)

Comments on the professor

Rouse was very nice and very caring to her students. She doesn't grade hard at all as she says multiple times in the semester that she doesn't grade based off of if something actually looks good. She only grades if you follow the rubric which is clear. She also gives extra credit twice in a semester and gives you an opportunity to turn in assignments late near the end of a semester.

Advice

If you can, try getting familiar with Photoshop as it can take you some time to figure some things out!

Prof: Madeline Davis / Fall 2020

Comments on the course

This class was really fun and I learned a lot of things in Photoshop! Professor Davis herself is really nice and is great to work with as well. There were four projects, with 4 mini assignments, 4 quizzes, a midterm, and a final. Nothing’s too difficult as long as you read through the modules. This class was online (as is most classes this semester) and asynchronous, so you can go at your own pace with the work. However, make sure you turn in everything on time!

Advice

Make sure you turn in your assignments on time! Other than that have fun with making your projects!

Fun professor, made class less tedious. Learned a lot and had challenging assignments. Lenient and forgiving!

Advice

Don’t do projects late, but understand she can be forgiving when she wants to be.

Prof: Madeline Davis / Fall 2019

Dec 20, 2020

Comments on the course

The professor says that you’ll need Photoshop, but if you want to save $10.00/month ($40 for the semester), you can use Pixlr.com as a free Photoshop alternative, but it is more difficult to use and doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that Photoshop does.

Advice

If you have Madeline Davis, she is an extremely lenient grader and you should have no issue in the class.
