- It's a very useful course for geologists & it's cool to understand the geologic history of the SB area. The course has recently begun to include QGIS & Google Earth usage- both very useful programs to know. - You will make so many friends in this class!! - I will say that if you're disabled, this class is not very accommodating. Some field trips include miles of hiking, & one trip was very strenuous. The prof has downplayed distances, & he did not warn us about the particularly strenuous hike that I mentioned. I hope that you do still choose to take it if you are interested- just keep this in mind. 104IG is also available for those who are physically unable to take 104A.
