Comments on the course

Overall, I would recommend to take this class. The class is mediocre in terms of difficultly but I enjoyed it. The work load was light but more project in the end and he grades okay.

Comments on the course

I loved this course. Class was a lot of fun and felt more like a conversation between friends than a lecture. Sometimes we would watch videos during class. A discussion post and quiz most weeks. A few papers. One exam. The quizzes are a mix between short answers and multiple choice. The final is only open response. There is a group assignment/presentation as well (there was going to be two, but she removed the second for my class, unknown if she'll continue with only one though.)

Course Content

Covers a few different topics, some more emotionally intense than others. Identity, race, socioeconomic status, gender and sexuality, etc.

Comments on the professor

Doc is amazing. The first professor that I genuinely believe cares about me (and all of her students) even outside of her class. She is always willing to work with you. A deadline coincide with a different class deadline? Sure, you can have a few extra days.

Advice

Be willing to learn. There is a lot of interaction with your classmates. A lot of talking. She wants you to participate in class.
