This was a very informational and fun class that was very manageable.
There were take-home quizzess at the end of each week which came directly from the lecture slides in class. There were 2 one-page essays throughout the entire semester. And there were only 2 tests, but she gave a studyguide and told us what to study for them.
Bomi was an excellent, kind professor and was really understanding of her students. She definetly wants her students to suceed, and she’s willing to work with you.
No need to buy the textbook, just take good notes.

The exams are fairly difficult, I have a background in CJ already, otherwise I dont think I would have done well in the course. The study guides she provides are basically useless for the exams.
It is useful if you don't know much already about the criminal justice system
My biggest gripe is there was no real direction on what needed to be studied for the exams, the study guide is absolutely worthelss.

The class itself can be interesting and it does describes yourself criminal justice system. It was some what Of a hard class for me due to the fact that I don’t have that much knowledge on the matter.
Criminal justice system
Dr. Brook heavy on apa. And her exams are hard! Very hard! Unless you work on the field. She gives a study guide that doesn’t work as is only 40/50% of the test. And all it is a bunch of terms and you have to find the definition. Proctored exams
Takes a lot of notes otherwise you would have to back and re watch all her videos, study hard if you want to pass.

Very general and informative overview of the American criminal justice system and the societal issues/problems surrounding/within it
I was pretty knowledgeable before taking the class on the American criminal justice system so a lot of it was review. Through the assigned books I learned a lot more details that I hadn't known previously
She was a very friendly person and experienced in her field. The subject addressed by the class is obviously very vast so there was a lot to cover, which I thought she did well. Sometimes it was hard to stay engaged, but that might have been the fault of my own, the class's energy, or the professor's energy at play.
Don't take the few assignments you do have for granted - take your time, put effort into them, be consistent and take feedback to heart.
