I liked that the class was online and flexible. The quiz answers are all on Quizlet, so studying for the exams is pretty much the biggest thing you have to worry about. SWAs are short and sweet, but make sure you hit all the marks on these. It's easy to overlook something and get points knocked off.
The content was pretty relatable and interesting.
Dr. Rush is a very passionate, funny, and good teacher. He makes it enjoyable and makes things very clear if you pay attention closely.
USE STUDY EDGE!! I only got study edge after I bombed the second exam, and it saved me for the third/final exam. I didn't even need to watch the lectures with Study Edge. Practice questions are the best way to study by far.

Amazing lectures, but it's better to get StudyEdge and do all the assignments and studying that way.

The class was very easy and manageable.
There were 4 assignments, 2 exams, and a final. His exams are easy and he lets you use a notecard.
Professor Rush is one of the best professors I have had at UF. He is funny and interesting. I never attended in person lecture, but the online recordings were still very helpful.
Stay on top of lectures and use smokin' notes/study edge for the exams.

I thought the class was pretty easy. It's graded on three exams (two midterms and a final) and 4 writing assignments. I watched all the lectures on double speed right the day before the exams and got an A in the class (even though I forgot to do one of the writing assignments).
Really funny guy; his humor really adds to the class. Saw him a couple times around campus and had a laugh with him.

Never went to a single lecture. Did study edge 2-3 days before every exam and got As on all of them. Pretty simple class and if you have a good flashcard that he lets you bring to the exams, you're fine. Coursework is very light. There were like 3 or 4 short writing assignments in the ENTIRE semester. Hardly required any effort but definitely study for the exams and DO THE PRACTICE TESTS. They're going to be your best friend.

Very easy class. I was lazy and still got a B+ with just watching the lectures sped up.
Professor is great and very funny. Will help you if you email him, and answers questions relatively quickly.

Just did smokin notes stuff, not a minute of anything else
Yes very useful and cool content, just gives you an interesting perspective on some pertinent issues. Three big exams, they are ez tho -- especially the last one.
Rush is a classic, very nice and funny.
I don't know what they're labelled 2013 and 2023, I do not think you need macro for this -- I recommend micro first.

This course was very well taught. I definitely could have gotten an A if I had read the modules.
There were no homework assignments at all, just exams. This puts a lot of pressure on your exam grade and makes it more difficult to stay on track since there is not weekly work.
Dr. Rush is a great lecturer. I may not always understand what he's saying, but he makes it engaging and fun.
Read the textbook! There are always questions on the exam that are straight out of the textbook.

I took multiple economics classes in high school and hated them because of the dry course content and abstract concepts you had to understand. Rush manages to make this information both compelling and easy enough to understand, and due to exams making up 80% of the grade for the course, the workload besides watching lectures and doing practice problems before exams is minimal.
Rush is a great professor. As someone who is not interested in finance or business, it is very inspiring to see a professor who takes this much joy from teaching students about new concepts and has a real interest in his subject material.

Course is not that difficult, just make sure you study for the exams using previous ones and watch the lectures. I ended up with an "A-" because I was lazy lol. StudyEdge was also a great resource to prepare for the exams but it's not entirely necessary.
Professor Rush makes the course pretty interesting throwing in jokes in the recorded lectures and presenting the content as well as connecting it to real-world issues. He does a really good job of covering what will be on the exams and responds to email questions about content fairly quickly. He also bumped my grade from a B+ to an A- without me asking.

Professor Rush's lectures were informative and actually entertaining to sit through. Take notes on his lectures, do the practice questions, make use of the index card he lets you bring to the exam, and you won't fail this class.

This course is amazing! Lectures are fun and Rush makes econ a lot more bearable. The only grades are the 3 exams, so make sure to study the practice exams tons - the question formats are the same, just with different scenarios. Also, utilize the notecard you're allowed to write notes on, it's a lifesaver. The textbook is boring but luckily you can just read it and then take notes on his lectures, that's the majority of the test questions anyways.
Dr. Rush is fantastic - I am not at all interested in econ, finances, business, etc. but he made the class really easy to get through. He is funny!
Don't wait until the last second to study - start reviewing practice exams at least a few weeks ahead of an exam.
