I loved her class. She is very passionate about that topic. She is not a tough grader but there are only 3 essays and that's your whole grade besides participation, which she expects you to participate.
Covered control, resistance, and normal life in the communist block since the start to the end. She focused on the USSR at the beginning but preferred to talk about rest of the block for resistance and normalization.
She was great. The reading were long and tedious at times but she didn't expect you to read all of it every time. She really really wants you to participate and treats the class more as a discussion rather than a lecture.
Long much reading there was going to be.
