Professor works against you every step of the way.
The important details are not emphasized whatsoever. This class is a bizarre anomaly in an otherwise great program. Somehow, she takes great textbooks and creates a useless course around them designed to punish students seemingly for being born. Reread the textbooks after you're done with the class if you want to actually learn something.
Absolutely zero effort toward teaching - just uploads her vague modules, gives you 400 pages of reading per week, and pulls quiz questions from one-sentence minutiae instead of meaningful topics. The TA and prof will randomly take 10% off a paper despite it being "great" with no constructive criticism. Professor is condescending when asked for clarification. Being a skilled forensic pathologist does not make someone a good teacher, and Dr. Utley is the worst of the worst. This seems like a way to collect a paycheck for her instead of actually teaching forensic professionals.
It's a core class, so you'll have to "suck it up." Expect bad grades on what would normally be solid A work. Expect to miss questions you had zero way of knowing to memorize, and receive absolutely no positive feedback. Once this course is behind you, enjoy the feeling of going back to literally every other course in the program where the professors actually care about teaching. You'll appreciate them more.

The first word that comes to mind is demoralizing. When a student asks a question about an assignment or quiz question, they are told to "critically think" their way to an answer. The images for quiz questions are very difficult to assess due to poor quality. The amount of reading compared to the assignments is astronomical and ridiculous.
The course content was apparently geared towards medical school students. You must know the complete intricacies of certain organs that were never discussed in class or in the assigned reading just to pass the quizzes
No real feed back. We simply got the canned "critically think your way to an answer".

Very tough course. Her quizzes are not based on the module information and in the photos that are on the quizzes, they are information that the student will have no idea about. For the assignments, you are required to have 500 words but you are going to find yourself writing over 1,000 words. If you miss a specific topic from the module, you will lose a full point.
Awful professor. Provides no help to students and even accuses students of cheating.
