The class was fun and the content was very understandable. Lots of reading.
The course was interesting, mostly history-based, but there were some culture lessons in there too.
He was humorous and friendly, he conveyed the information well and answered all questions. No cons
Take Professor Smith!

A lot of readings but they are very insightful if you truly care about Japanese culture. Essay assignments are moderately difficult but the professor didn’t grade too harshly.
Very nice and passionate professor! He actually left very detailed feedback on my papers! I wish I could take more classes with him.

Prof: Ann Wehmeyer / Summer 2020

Lengthy readings and lectures. A lot of the stuff wasn't that interesting, and I ended up forgetting most of it by Fall.
Wehmeyer's lectures (online at the time) were legnthy and monotonous. It's really easy to get bored/distracted/sleepy listening to her talk.
I wish I took this with Smith instead.
