Overall the course was very interesting and you got to do many fun experiments. There were lots of assignments but they were pretty easy. Make sure you study for the midterm even though it’s open book it can still be difficult if you don’t understand the concepts.
Dr. Lee is probably the best professor I have ever taken at UF. He is extremely passionate about the subject and extremely knowledgeable. You can really tell that he loves his job and cares about his students.

As a micro major I found the course to be extremely interesting. All of the labs were very fun and coincided well with the lecture he would teach before hand.
If you’re planning on doing any sort of lab work in the future this lab was definitely useful. You learn aseptic technique and how to accurately grow and view microbes.
Dr. Lee is probably my favorite professor that I had in all of my years of schooling. He cares about his students and understands that we have stressful schedules and never wants you to not have fun in his class because of that. I applied to be a TA for him the next semester because of how much I liked him. He does take a bit to reply back to emails so definitely reach out to your TA first before trying him.

Loved this class. Did many cool experiments and the assignments were pretty easy. Midterm was open book, and there was no final.
Take your time with labs and when filling out your ELNs (Lab Notebooks).
