People say this class is very difficult and if it is your first time ever being exposed to Python, this could be an easy statement to make. However, I'd recommend you study at least a little over the summer or break leading up to the class. This class has a reputation of being a hard passer, but if you're at least familiar with the content I believe you'll find the class enjoyable. Dr. Lacher is a very interesting if you really listen to her. She'll make you chuckle a couple times (North Dakota Humor). Engagement is key!
You learn the basics of Python. This includes Variables, while loops, for loops, (recursion), how to access data from text files, data types, arithmetic operations (modulus), how to import classes such as randint.
If you make an effort you'll get the grade you deserve.
Study or at least familiarize yourself with python ahead of time! I'd really recommend "100 Days of Code Course" offered by Angela Yu on Udemy. By the time you get the day 12 you've covered everything this course offers in 2 semesters.

Professor Lacher is very kind and helpful, be sure to ask for help when needed. Do not fall behind at all. Can be a tough course if you make it tough. We used zybooks which is an e book and it is helpful in learning the content.
Yes especially if you are going to take scripting 2.
Very kind, helpful, and understanding.
I wish I knew more about scripting before taking this course so u could have had a head start.
