This class is either fairly easy or very difficult. I happened to be in the latter category unfortunately. The workload can be deceptively light; do not procrastinate on this course or you will regret it. I managed to survive with a B, but you can easily fail if you fall behind on the quizzes and other assignments. The final essay is basically optional however, so as long as you get enough points for whatever grade you want, you can avoid doing the final
I think the overall course concept is very useful, especially for people who know jack about money, stocks, and things related to business or money management in general. However, I often found the quizzes extremely hard to complete only using the course content, including both the videos he offers and textbook readings. You typically get two attempts per quiz, where your highest score is recorded. Always do your best on the quizzes since they saved my a$$ for this course
I think the professor is decent enough, he seemed genuine about wanting to teach the content. Although I never ended up watching most of the videos offered, nor did I attend the live lectures. Probably worth attending in hindsight, but I managed to pass regardless
I wish I knew that this course had a cliff grading system where all assignments are only due by the end of the course. This is an extremely horrible grading system for anyone who procrastinates; if you get behind you are digging yourself a hole which is very difficult to get out of. I only managed to get out of this hole with some extreme dedication. Literally the assignments are mostly easy and the quizzes are manageable, but you WILL be screwed if you do not do things in chunks throughout the course. The course is deceptively easy which puts your procrastination mind at great risk of, well, procrastinating. Do not ***** yourself up.
