Comments on the course

Genuinely had a great experience in this class. Was the first time I got to use the knowledge from my calc and regular physics classes for practical use, and most of the time was pretty fun. By no means was the course easy, as the homework took very, very long to do. However, the questions were usually very interesting and spiked your curiosity, which made them fun to do.

Comments on the professor

Gerhz was a very thorough and insightful professor. He was understanding to students and not a bore to listen to in lectures. He made the class enjoyable and was glad to have him as a professor.

Comments on the course

This course is the first of the Astrophysics track that uses calculus and Physics 1-3 knowledge. Tests were open book/open note.

Comments on the professor

Bob Gehrz was an entertaining and fun lecturer. At the time he had a knee scooter but that didn't stop him from doing anything. Days he would be out working with SOFIA, etc, he would find a guest lecturer who would often talk at length about their area of astro.
