Awful. Physics majors bond over the hell that is this course. Prepare for crazy math you've never seen before, and delivered to you at a pace that leaves grad students bewildered. Cool concepts and definitely makes other upper division courses look easy by comparison.
Pretty much learned what makes physics annoyingly difficult. Gone are the assumptions that made problems simple. Lots of calc, lots of physically interpreting problems and translating that into math.
Knew his stuff, but went way to fast and skipped most mathematical steps.
Have a solid foundation in all of calculus before taking course. Take it at least after Phys2201 (intro thermo), and during phys2601 (intro quantum).
