This is the hardest course I took at the U. The homeworks are difficult, and will take anywhere from 6-12 hours per week. The homework questions were more related to Shaul's lecture and problems he liked to go over; the exam questions were more geared towards questions from the book, which have a slightly different feel.

Get started on the homework early. The homework sets take quite a while to finish. In studying for the exams make sure to do a couple of extra questions from the book, sometimes they show up verbatim on the exams. **READ THE TEXTBOOK**
