Comments on the course

While it may not be my cup of tea as a non-youth studies major, it's a good class to use for completing lib-eds. It's a little painful in terms of repetitive content and a hyperfocus on participation but it gets the job done.

Course Content

It's primarily looking at how people in Youth roles are presented in media, how we perceive them in the daily world, and how that in turn sets a precedent for youth to come.

Comments on the professor

She's such a sweetheart, super caring and understanding. If I had a class that she could teach that was more my interests, I'd hope she was the one teaching.

Advice

That it's REALLY participation heavy. Most "quizzes" take in the form of class discussion and activities. It's fine for the most part but it gets a little annoying after a while.
