Pros: He enjoys giving videos on topics with data mining, machine learning, algorithms, and statistics. Cons: You must figure out how to improve on your own. He advises you to re-watch his videos 3-4 times. He loads you up on information without clearly identifying objectives. He has no rubric for assignments (arbitration within grading) and I believe none of his assignments are his own, in the sense that he just finds assignments from other instructors or on the internet and feels his lecture videos are enough to complete the assignments. He can not comprehend where improvements need to be made because he teaches in theory base and not Data Mining practice.

Look for other schools that meet this requirement. It will be your last data science course if its your major and it will be difficult to finish seeing that the degree does not require or suggest you to take 1320, Math 3000, or Machine Learning or basic algorithms courses in which he advised another student to complete before retaking his course. Even though the degree has a prerequisite of Math 1100, Intro to Computers/C++, and Python for Data Analysis. Computer Science department can't remove him because no one else can teach the course and he has tenure. Avoid his course like the plague. Even if he is your only option substitute the course if you can.
