The professor himself is quite jovial, fun-loving, and easy to understand. He constantly uses the phrase, "isn't that ****?!" (when referring to anything Greek). He often brings in candies and donuts on random occasions, so he is a real treat to say the least. There are no assignments or attendance requirements for this course. There have only been two exams and a mapping/chronology Quiz (which might as well have been another exam in terms of workload). The exams themselves will first involve an "ID" section, which will require you to hand-write write a half-page entry on that particular topic. Then the latter portion involves an "essay" portion of which you are meant to write two pages on answering a particular question. Yes, it was quite useful for understanding all of the highlights of ancient Greek history.
Honestly, the man is a saint (in terms of his classroom candor and freebies). Otherwise, his grading is very harsh, and the need to re-check your grade after every assignment is rather annoying.
I wish I knew more people to help collect data for the exams.
