My favourite course I've taken at UVic so far. Took it as an elective, as it's completely unrelated to my major, and had a fantastic time with it. Quizzes and tests were a breeze if you have the textbook and pay attention in class (I found it hard to not pay attention, the material was so engaging!). Hardest part were the labs - they took a good 8 or so hours each to do, but taught me a lot and I got great marks in them. Loved this course!

Not that bad of a course! If you've taken ASTR 101, this course will be a breeze as half of the content is the exact same. Literally copy and pasted 2 labs as they were the same. If you haven't taken ASTR 101, then this course will still be easy so long you're interested in the content. Stars, galaxies, black holes, telescopes - all cool stuff and relatively all easy to understand. Minimal math except in labs, but nothing you couldn't do if you were in grade 10.
