Super easy class, the material doesn't really go in depth so it's very much an introductory class. average was 83%. There were 2 midterms, 1 final, and 6 labs. Labs used QGIS and a bit of ArcGIS Online, the instructions were very step by step so labs were clear. Midterms were open book, pretty easy. Lectures were prerecorded so no "live" classes. The prof gave you a breakout room in office hours, I liked that privacy and full attention from the prof, I would share my work with her so I liked her office hours format. This is a class for anyone as I would say it's a "gpa booster"

Class was interesting introduction to all the concepts related to maps. Labs were a bit intensive, but was able to finish normally on time. Prof tested on how he taught the course, rather than the material itself. This makes it hard to get A+.

As a SENG major, this class is a walk in the park. It's basically an introduction to the ArcGIS software and the terminology/concepts associated with it. Overall they don't go super in-depth on midterms, and the labs are pretty well written. You don't even need a whole lot of technological ability to do them as all the steps are laid out in detail. Lectures were async this year, but I do recommend watching them at 2x just to get the basics, as well as some info into the type of questions that are on the midterms. The material itself is somewhat interesting, so if you're a GEOG major I'd recommend this course. As someone in SENG, I'd also recommend it for one of your natural sciences since it's pretty easy.
