This is the graduate level social stats course for sociology MA and PhD students, but undergrads are permitted to take the class as well. I found this course challenging but manageable with enough time to review the concepts and attempt the lab assignments. All soci majors have to take 271, this is basically like that but more in-depth concepts. I found myself getting lost in the lectures sometimes as they were 2.5ish hours long, once a week. I think it would be better if spread out over the week. I enjoyed having something technical in the middle of a very abstract degree. Final assignment is creating your own sophisticated stat analysis in Stata, and writing a whole paper around it. I would only take this course as an undergrad if you are very comfortable with stats.
If you need help, Min and Ruth (lab instructor) are both super sweet and willing to take the time to explain anything! Textbook is lightly used, and available online if you look hard enough
