This class is very hard and moves quickly. Is definitely geared towards gen and biochem majors so make sure you know your stuff going in.

To be honest, what made the class so hard is Prof. Hittinger. I was so confused in the first week when I did all of the pre-class and still had no idea what was going on in lecture. When I emailed him asking, he informed me that the posted lecture recordings were not for review, no they were pre-class assignments. Like, you have to watch a recording of the lecture from last year of the lecture you are about to attend. Needless to say this is confusing and doesn't help topically. Besides that, the lectures move in weird directions conceptually, and every time he stops and asks, 'does that make sense?', everybody sits in silence because it never makes sense lol. Just prepare for the workload with Chris. Pre-class should take around 2 or 3 hours for every lecture if you do what you're supposed to. Make sure you're filling out provided study guides and supplementing your own learning.
