Weekly quizzes are very easy, provided that you go to class and take notes, and the weekly papers are also straightforward and graded generously. Work does not take a long time to finish. Class expectations are extremely clear and lectures are easy to follow.
Take the small sections of this class taught by grad students if you can - there's always 1 or 2 each quarter. That's what I did and I don't regret it at all. They're better if you want to learn collaboratively with others and engage with others in a deeper way than the large lecture-style.
COM 200 is an odd class because it's taught differently by every single prof and grad student who teaches it, but they all teach the broad "idea of the Communications major" and that's it. It's not a hard class with the right teacher.
