Really good class. Good for someone with a minimal web programming/development background, although it's mostly frontend and not full-stack (that's what 441 is I think). Make sure to stay caught up on the lectures and homework so you can ask questions and not get stuck. Cool interactive textbook that the prof helped write and work that is very easy to follow and get high scores on using his rubrics. The concepts themselves aren't too hard and the workload is extremely manageable.

Joel Ross is a very good professor! He gives good feedback and is really patient in answering questions, so don't be afraid to ask a lot. He cares about his students' understanding and performance. As the quarter went on, he adapted to students' needs and concerns by answering queries and making sure everyone is comfortable with the material during lectures. He is super helpful and teaches very well
