Prof: Tamre Cardoso / Spring 2019
Aug 23, 2021
This is easy material that should be a breeze for any UW student to sail through however this Tamre somehow manages to make it the most difficult class. Be prepared for very dry lectures, all she does is read from her power point slides. The R portion of this class is a joke, just go to her office hours and you'll probably get most answers.
Do the practice worksheets before quizzes and exams. They help a lot.
I didn't like Tamre's teaching very much. She's too disorganized. And she needs to respect the fact that not everyone is a cheater and that using online resources isn't really cheating.

Prof: William Brown / Summer 2021

Labs are easy points but homework is quite difficult. You’ll learn how to use R whether you’re new to it or programming in general. Stats is challenging subject. Mini-exams were closed book this quarter, so expect studying. Will Brown did a pretty good job explaining each concept.
This was the class that I went to office hours the most, so go to them! They are super helpful when it comes to hard homework questions. Use the textbook to your advantage and watch/attend lectures.

Prof: Ranjini Grove / Winter 2021

Pretty similar to AP stats. I liked the prof but I just didn't see how applicable this class would be to a professional environment. Still interesting information and fun easy learning. Also nice to learn the basics of coding in R.
Go to office hours and spend time by yourself memorizing the nuances of each formula and pieces of code
Professor Grove gets a solid thumbs up from me. Very accomadating also willing and wanting to help students. She really cares about learning everyone's name which I appreciated as well.
