One of the best classes I have had so far.
If you only want to watch the lectures and not read the book, you will still be perfectly fine. He goes through everything you need to know in his lectures, and his lectures are actually fun.
Ed is probably the best professor at York. The way he taught made you feel confident in your ability to actually do the course.
Watch lectures and do exercises on the book. If you don't want to watch the lectures and just read the book, you will still secure an A.

Amazing prof, if you understood the TB + skimmed it before coming to class and watching lectures while doing the assigned problems weekly then this class is easily an A+. I did it pre COVID though so I'm not sure what it's like now, I would study the slides right before the midterm
I would study the slides right before the midterm .. Also do the practice weekly problems so that you don't cram and once you understand why certain formulas are used it's super easy to memorize and apply

Great prof. Great class. Lots of people are intimidated by statistic in Psych. That's why me, the professor, and a PhD candidate have partnered to create a website to sort of help you learn stats in a more fun and digestible way. So expect that to come out soon.
Your mark is highly dependent on whether you get TAs who aren't tough markers. Why do I say this? Because even though I finished with an A in 2021, I am currently taking 2022 with the same prof, same teaching style, same resources (just different content) but the TA's are different. These TAs are way tougher graders. So yeah, thats the only negative I have to say about PSYC 2021 and 2022.
