Prof: Kevin Gold / Spring 2022

The course starts off pretty straight forward as it's mostly just learning how to code using python. However the course quickly turns into heavy data science and you'll be messing with data trees, machine learning, and neural networks. This would be fine, but those things are only explained conceptually in class not with code so homeworks become nearly impossible if you don't have a coding background, which isn't great because they're worth 50% of your grade.
Course content is interesting, but you'll have homeworks every week so in my experience you'll be doing more scrambling to finish homeworks than learning.
Professor Gold is nice but I don't think he realizes most of what he says is going completely over people's heads.
I would avoid taking this class unless you have a fairly thorough coding background.
