Prof: Jorg Sack / Fall 2024

Course has loads of useful practical material but its very theory heavy so none of it matters
Jorg was awful just had pre recorded lectures, often goes on a lot of unrelated tangents, drops all work on the TA's and then blames students for not trying hard enough to understand the material...
Don't take with Jorg and just power through it.

Prof: Patrick Morin / Fall 2023
Jan 6, 2025
It is one of the classes that is mandatory and also extremely difficult. Pat Morin is a great prof and tries his best to teach the subjects. It is heavy on proofing and using proofing techniques. The assignments are long proofing questions with barely any 'gimme' questions. The midterm and final are multiple-choice, but the answers have to be worked out quite in-depth.
Includes topics like the Pigeon-hole principle and the birthday paradox.
Has video lectures that are identical to the class lectures if a class is missed or clarification is needed.
Just one of those classes that you have to power through and try your best.

Poorly delivered.
Constantly forgets to switch cameras. Explains concepts in a contradictory manner and then forgets to correct himself. Rude.
